Following the recent demand made by the Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) that 40 packages under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-III) be distributed as “one firm, one package,” the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department (R&B), and Empowered Officer of the NGRRDA Nagaland have taken a significant step.
They have now invited tender applications for a portion of these packages, specifically five, under PMGSY-III Batch – I for the fiscal year 2023-24.
The tender application, released by the Chief Engineer’s office, stated, “The Chief Engineer, PWD(R&B) & Empowered Officer, NGRRDA Nagaland invites, on behalf of the Governor of Nagaland, Item Rate tenders in the electronic tendering system from approved and eligible Class-I Contractors registered with the Nagaland Public Works Department (NPWD) for 5 packages spread across the state, including maintenance for five years after construction under PMGSY-III Batch – I (2023-24).”
The bid documents are available online, and interested parties can submit their bids on the website nagalandtenders.gov.in.
It is essential to note that bidders must complete a registration process on the website, which is free of cost. To submit bids, bidders are also required to possess a valid Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) from one of the authorized Certifying Authorities (CA).
This invitation for bids, officially referred to as the “Notice Inviting Tender” (NIT), was made public on October 13, 2023. It marks a significant development in the ongoing discussions and actions surrounding the distribution of PMGSY-III packages in Nagaland.
