Chokri Area Union Kohima holds General Session 2025

The Chokri Area Union Kohima (CAUK) held its General Session 2025 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima, with Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, attending the event as the speaker.


Addressing the gathering, Khamo stated that Naga society faces pressing issues such as substance abuse and unemployment, emphasizing that solutions must begin at home. He stressed that progress depends not only on resources but also on leadership, urging a change in behavior, approach, and thinking through collective effort. He further underscored the importance of biblically guided work ethics to combat corruption and described entrepreneurship as a key to tackling unemployment, while urging sincerity among those pursuing government jobs.

Zhothisa Dawhuo, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Nagaland, advised the people to prepare for the upcoming reservation review and accept its outcome positively. He encouraged the community to return to their villages, plan their livelihoods, and strengthen the local economy.

Rothihu Tetseo, IGP, Government of Nagaland, urged the Chokri people to preserve their identity and think collectively. He cautioned against self-centered leadership and the growth of profit-driven NGOs, calling for humility and reflection.

A new CAUK team led by Dr. Rupfuhu Rose as Chairman was also announced during the programme.
