The new team of office bearers of the Chokri Chakhesang Literature Board (CCLB) for the 2025–2027 tenure officially assumed office today at the CCLB Office, Kohima. The event was attended by both outgoing and incoming officials, who wished the new team a prosperous tenure.
According to CCLB Media Secretary Kuzhovesa Soho, the house extended its gratitude to the outgoing Chairman, Ariyi Nienu, for his tireless efforts and immense contributions toward the development and promotion of the Literature Board over the years. Ariyi Nienu served as Chairman for four terms.
In his address, Nienu expressed heartfelt thanks to the Chokri-speaking community for reposing faith in him despite his limitations. He urged all Chokrimi to extend unwavering support and cooperation to the Board for the continued promotion of Chokri literature.
Incoming Chairman Vekhozo Ringa, in his acceptance speech, assured the Chokrimi that he would work with utmost care and dedication for the advancement of Chokri literature. He also appealed for unconditional support and cooperation from the community in all future endeavours.
A brief handover ceremony was held, during which all related files and responsibilities were officially transferred.
Treasurer Kuvesho Tetseo presented the financial report covering the period from 24-05-2022 to 18-07-2025. The house appreciated the transparency and clarity of the report.
The following officials were officially approved to serve the office for the 2025–2027 tenure with immediate effect:

· Vice Chairmen – Vethikhoyi Khamo (General Administration) and Khrusahu Rhakho (Gospel Literature)
· General Secretary (Administration) – Dr. Vekhruzo Keyho
· General Secretary (Technical) – Thekuvelu Sakhamo
· Joint Secretary – Kuvehu Soho
· Finance Secretary – Vekhosa Nakro
· Treasurer – Kevesho Tetseo
· Media Secretary – Vedukho Shijoh
· Assistant Secretary – Sekholu Tetseo
· Assistant Secretary – Vetsuno Ringa
· Ex-Officio Member – Vesavolu Soho
The house unanimously extended their blessings and wished all incoming officials a fruitful and successful tenure.
