Debut book ‘Dust and Grace’ by Kevisede Tiu, a Christian book was released by Khetoshe Chishi, Principal, Christ for the Nations Bible College, Kohima at Hotel URA, Kohima on November 25. The book is a publication of Woods Publishers, Kohima.

During the release, Khetoshe Chishi expressed his delight in being a part the young author’s first step venturing into a new journey both in writing and in bearing witness for the gospel. He commented that the book was indeed a manifestation of the author’s vision and above all God’s grace and power.

Moachiba from Woods Publishers Publication House in his note shared that ‘Dust and Grace’ is their 67th publication. The book explores what it means to be a human in the light of a loving and gracious creator. He also commended the author for taking the initiative that would serve as an impetus and inspiration stating that there are not many Naga writers who write about Christian living.

He ended his note by sharing his belief that this book would be a way to come out as a transformed person, if not an impacted person. This book is a testament in itself of the author’s life and an extension of all our lives.

In the book review, Imsensuba Ozüküm shared that “Dust and Grace” by his friend is one artistic Christian book with insights that help us to see the reality of life, and unveils the nature of why we go through suffering in life. This book draws the readers to reflect upon their spiritual, emotional and cognitive faculties. Our fallible thoughts of all the “Whys and judgements” we make in the pursuit of our egoistic ecstasy.

He remarked that there is no fallacy in the book’s content, and it is purely drawn with balanced ideologies, and with biblical implications.

In his address, Kevisede acknowledged all God, his family and all his loved ones who continually supported and interceded his hope with the debut book. He also shared that through his book he means to remind us all that we are still of dust, as lofty as our positions in life maybe or as grand as our achievements be, and He is still our maker. Yet there is always grace from above for a seeking soul even as terribly as we may be bound by our suffering or as hopeless as we may be.

He concluded by saying that the contents will not be novel and unheard of. But he believes that we can be reminded again and aided well and more so beyond his meagre words, it is his hope and longing for God to ease an aching heart, and for his dear readers to find comfort and help not only with their own cups of sorrow but with their hard thoughts about God as well.

The grace for the program was invoked by Abigail Shohe and chaired by Tsutipang Jamir.
