Chuchuyimpang, 23 April (MTNews): The Women Ministry of Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church organized a two-day event on culture and promotion of mother language for the youth. The event, held on 22-23 April, was supposed to be held in February as desired by ABAM but was postponed due to other prior engagements in the church.
On 22 April, the youth were taught on the Ao traditional wears of both genders, how to wear them, their names and their meanings. The youngsters were also taught the names of the various indigenous household items and tools, their meanings and their uses. Alemtoshi and Pangienla were the resource persons for the day.
On 23 April, the youngsters were taught the importance of their mother language. The event was held with Padmashree T Senka Ao as the resource person.
