The 2nd edition of the Boys U-16 Multi-Days Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2025 concluded on February 23, with Chümoukedima District emerging as the champions. The tournament, the qualifiers round of which began on January 29 and continued until February 4, featured intense competition among districts, culminating in the finals held from February 17 to 23.
Chümoukedima District secured the championship title after a series of competitive matches, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship. Mokokchung District finished as the runners-up. The tournament provided a valuable platform for young cricketers to display their skills and gain experience in multi-day cricket.
The event witnessed several promising performances from young players, showcasing the growing potential of the sport in the state. The organizers extended their appreciation to all participating teams, officials, and supporters for contributing to the success of the tournament.

Mokokchung finishes as Runners-Up
Mokokchung District’s Under-16 boys’ cricket team delivered an impressive performance in the tournament, securing the runners-up position in the final round. The final round of the prestigious tournament, organized by the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA), was held at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, from February 17 to 24.
Mokokchung qualified for the final round after a stellar display in the qualifiers. In the highly competitive final round, the young cricketers showcased remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship, proving themselves as a formidable team.
Meanwhile, the Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) extended its congratulations to the team for their outstanding achievement. The association also expressed gratitude to the coaching staff, support staff, and well-wishers for their invaluable contributions to the team’s success.
