Three people have been apprehended in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of Lt Imkongjeba Kichu of Chungtia village, whose body was found on February 22.
The accused were reportedly taken to Mokokchung Civil Hospital on Tuesday morning for medical examinations, including a Covid test.
It is reported that approximately 20 people, including the deceased’s co-passenger, have been interrogated in the case so far.
According to a police source, the investigation is still on-going and no official arrests have been made.
