Mokokchung, 30 September (MTNews): The closing ceremony of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2023, celebrated from 1-30 September 2023 took place at Aongza-Ki, Mokokchung on Saturday.
Rashtriya Poshan Maah is an annual event observed in September under the POSHAN Abhiyaan (PM’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment), launched in 2018. The primary goal of Poshan Maah is to foster community mobilization and enhance public participation in addressing malnutrition among young children and women, ensuring better health and nutrition for all.
During the program, Imliyanger, CDPO Kobulong, provided an overview of the activities conducted throughout the month.

Addressing the event, Seyievilie Pfukri EAC, Ongpangkong, highlighted the intangible yet impactful nature of the Social Welfare Department. He stressed its role in raising awareness among parents and children about maintaining physical health, proper nutrition, and more. Pfukri acknowledged the significant responsibility of anganwadi workers and urged them to continue educating the masses about nutritious foods, expressing hope that they would excel in their efforts.

 

Chubatemsu Jamir, District Coordinator Poshan Abhiyaan, showcased a compilation of their month-long activities during his vote of thanks. The program was chaired by Arienla, Supervisor Ongpangkong (North), and featured a special performance by Khensa Anganwadi Children.
