Mokokchung, 2 May (MTNews): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has asked all Tribal Hohos, leaders of Civil Society Organizations, prominent leaders, and political parties to a joint meeting to discuss the ULB issue on 9 May. He said this while speaking as the Chief Guest at the Moatsü Festival in Mokokchung organized by Ao Senden on 2nd May.

Noting that the ULB elections have not been held in Nagaland although Indian Parliament had passed it 22 years ago, he invited the aforementioned to be present at the meeting.
He further stressed that, contrary to media reports, the Government of Nagaland was not found in contempt of court. The notice was delivered to the Chief Secretary, to which the Attorney General of India will respond, he informed. The next court hearing is scheduled on 18 May, he said.
He also stated that issues on Registration of Indigenous Inhabitants of Nagaland (RIIN) would also be discussed and thus invited the respective bodies and organizations to attend the meeting.
