Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday welcomed Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey and expressed hope that the minister’s visit to the state would lead to positive outcomes.

In a post on social media platform X, Rio said it was a pleasure to meet and interact with Dubey during his visit to Nagaland. He expressed optimism that the engagement would contribute to constructive results and wished the Union minister a pleasant stay in the state.
Providing details of the meeting, Dubey also shared a post on X, stating, “Today, I had the courtesy of paying a visit to the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio and engaged in a detailed and meaningful discussion regarding the comprehensive development of the state.”
The Union minister said the discussions covered a wide range of issues, including progress of ongoing development projects, prospects in the mining sector, local employment generation, and opportunities for sustainable development. He added that special deliberations were held on strengthening coordination between the Centre and the state and ensuring effective implementation of central government schemes.
“During the two-day visit to Nagaland, I reviewed the progress of various development projects and held special deliberations with the Chief Minister on the possibilities in the mining sector, local job creation, and opportunities for sustainable development,” Dubey stated.
He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government would continue to work closely with the Nagaland government for all round development of the state, strengthening of infrastructure, and regional progress.
