Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, during his official visit to New Delhi, held a series of high-level meetings with international diplomats and national policymakers aimed at fostering cooperation and promoting the state’s developmental priorities.
In a post shared on X, Rio said it was “a pleasure to meet and interact with H.E. Kevin Kelly, Ambassador of Ireland to India.” The two leaders exchanged views on “strengthening ties and exploring avenues of mutual cooperation.” He also extended his appreciation to the Embassy of Ireland in India for their warm hospitality.
The Chief Minister also met Abdulnasser Alshaali, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India, describing the exchange as “meaningful and engaging.” Rio said he looks forward to “close collaboration for mutual benefit,” and thanked the UAE Embassy in India for their gracious welcome.
Further strengthening development discourse at the national level, Rio also called on Suman Bery, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, India’s top public policy think tank, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang.
Rio acknowledged the Vice Chairman’s “guidance and continued support for the welfare and development of the state.”
