Noklak, August 10 (MTNews): Eye Screening Camp was conducted at Noklak District sponsored by Dr. Obangjungla, Chief Medical Officer, Longleng, according to the needs of the people as there is no Eye Specialist in the district. The Eye Screening Camp was held on 9th and 10th August 2022 at District Hospital Noklak, an update from CMO Office Longleng said.
A short launching program was held before the Eye Screening Camp with the Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, Haizu Meru as the special guest.
The Deputy Commissioner Noklak, Haizu Meru while delivering his speech stressed on the fact that people tend to avoid these far flung areas with poor accessibility and he applauded the efforts of Dr. Obangjungla CMO Longleng and her team for striving to work for the community over and beyond her governmental duties. The Additional Superintendent of Police, Nokla, Chinese Chakhesang reminded the people to utilize the schemes and benefits offered by the government in his short speech.
Dr. Renjano, Jr. Eye Specialist from IMDH Mokokchung gave general information on the importance of eye and eyesight. During the program, Dr. Obangjungla, Chief Medical Officer, Longleng delivered the keynote address.
Earlier, the program was chaired by Tsumian Khiam, DCM District Hospital Noklak; invocation prayer by Tiajungba Ao Pastor, Ao Baptist Fellowship Noklak and vote of thanks by Langoi, pharmacist, District Hospital, Noklak.
