The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has strongly condemned the capital punishment declared against K Rülho, proprietor of M/S KKB RÜLHOR, by the NSCN-K (Khango). The businessman, professionally involved in government work and contracts, faced the death threat due to his inability to meet the monetary demands imposed by the faction.

In a statement, the CNCCI stated that the Naga National Movement belongs to every Naga, with each individual contributing in various capacities. The organization stated that issuing capital punishment for failing to meet monetary demands defies the logic and goals of the Naga National Movement, smearing the noble political aspirations of the Naga people.

“The Naga Political Groups need to understand that there are now nearly 20 factions fighting for one Naga political cause with almost all factions imposing demands which is impossible to meet for any businessman,” added the CNCCI.

Expressing full support for the Angami Youth Organization’s (AYO) stand, the CNCCI has directed its confederate organization, the Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), to ensure that all business communities across the Kohima district participate in the public rally called by AYO on August 6, 2024. The CNCCI further appealed to all its district chambers of commerce to send delegates to attend the rally and express solidarity with the cause.
