Kohima, August 2 (MTNews): The officials and party workers of 9 Kohima Town Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) held a meeting with Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K Therie in presence of the NPCC working president Khriedi Theünuo at Congress Bhavan, Kohima today.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the forthcoming state general elections, fielding a winning Congress candidate in the constituency and reactivating the party functionaries at all levels, a press note informed.
NPCC president Therie and working president Theünuo exhorted the Congress leaders and workers of the constituency. The meeting was chaired by 9 Kohima Town ACCC president Ako Zhasa. KDCC vice president i/c 9 Kohima Town ACCC N Meren Longchar offered prayer while 9 Kohima Town ACCC general secretary Yekiye tendered the vote of thanks.
Later in the evening, NPCC president Therie accompanied by his working president, other NPCC officials, KDCC officials and president Kevi Vizo held a meeting on the same line with 8 Western Angami ACCC at Sechü-Zubza Council Hall. The press note informed that the meeting was also attended by village council leaders and the public.
