Mokokchung, 4 September (MTNews): The Congress on Sunday set up a Political Affairs Committee and made an organizational rejig in the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) with several fresh appointments.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge appointed the 13-member Political Affairs Committee of the NPCC.
S Supongmeren Jamir, KL Chishi, SI Jamir, K Therie, Hoketo Zhimomi, Khriedi Theunuo, V Lasuh, W Akum Yimchunger, N Yona Konyak, Capt GK Zhimomi, Athang Chongloi, Nillo Rengma and Lanutemjen Lamtur are the members of the PAC.
In another appointment, Kharge appointed Khriedi Theunuo as the working president along with four vice-presidents. N Yona Konyak has been appointed treasurer of NPCC. Five general secretaries and two spokespersons were also appointed to it.
A 21-member executive committee was also set up with the presidents of the state Youth Congress, state NSUI, state Mahila Congress, and chief organizer of Pradesh Seva Dal as ex-officio members.
The party also appointed Javed Sarvar as the minority department head in the state unit. Also, various district chiefs were appointed by the party in Nagaland.
