The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has called on the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force, Nagaland, to formally requisition vacant posts in the Forest Department to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) and the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB).
Citing data obtained through the Right to Information Act and the department’s annual administrative report for 2024–2025, CTAN pointed out that several sanctioned positions remain unfilled.
These include one Library Assistant, one Assistant Librarian, one Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF), 18 LDA-cum-Computer Assistants, two Stenographers, and four Drivers.
In its representation, CTAN requested the department to forward the requisition within the next 30 days. It also urged that posts currently occupied on an ad-hoc or contractual basis, newly created positions, and vacancies expected up to August 2026 be included in the process.
Stating that it would continue to follow up on the matter, the association expressed confidence that the authority would take necessary steps to safeguard the interests of aspirants in the state.
