Kohima, 26 February (MTNews): TN Mannen, Advisor for Law and Justice, and Land Revenue, stated that customary law is not static but dynamic and is subject to changes. He also encouraged the Nagas to interpret and use customary law articulately and properly while ensuring justice. The advisor made this statement as the Guest of Honor during the conference of the Nagaland Judges’ Association in Kohima on 24 February.

Special Guest, Justice Devashi Baruah, briefed about his legal journey and stressed how a judge should be disciplined. Y Longkumer shared how power comes with responsibility and enlightened the judges to be honest and to work with integrity, emphasizing that common people should have faith and trust in judges.

The order of the program was chaired by Victo Sema, NJS, Member Secretary, NSLSA, President NJA, and the vote of thanks was given by Kumdilong Kessen, NJS, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Civil Judge (Sr.) Division, Longleng, Asst. General Secretary, NJA.
