Mokokchung, 17 September (MTNews): The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has called upon all democratic forces to denounce and resist what they allege are the Government’s assault on the Constitution of India. During its inaugural meeting held in Hyderabad yesterday, the restructured CWC accused the BJP-led Central Government of significantly impacting cooperative federalism.

The CWC passed a resolution that emphasized the need to transform the INDIA, the alliance, into both an ideological and electoral success, aiming to “liberate the nation from divisive politics” and ensure a sensitive and accountable government for the people.

In its resolution, the CWC pledged to restore a nation that every Indian can take pride in, regardless of caste, religion, wealth, age, or social status. Recognizing the impending 2021 decennial Census, the resolution called for the inclusion of a caste census.

Furthermore, the CWC urged an increase in the current reservation limits for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and OBCs, and urged the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill during the upcoming special session of Parliament.
