On the occasion of National Sports Day, celebrated annually on August 29, the Dynamic School of Darts (DSD), under the aegis of the Nagaland Darts Association (NDA), conducted a Darts introduction and installation event at Kros College, Kohima.
During the event, Imjungmeren extended wishes for a happy National Sports Day and thanked the principal and management for the opportunity to introduce Darts at the college. He shared a brief history of Naga Darts, which was established in 2012, and congratulated Kros College for making history as the first educational institution to introduce Darts during their sports event. It was also reported that Taekwondo was introduced alongside Darts on this occasion.
Vikhor Tepa briefed the attendees on the rules and regulations of the game. Five members from DSD and NDA (Wabang Paul, Neibei Solo, Aomeren, Imjungmeren, and Neiketou Suohu) provided hands-on training and demonstrations at each board.
At the end of the event, a consensus was reached between the college and NDA that the college would send five of its best players to the annual Nagaland Darts Association Tournament, scheduled for September 14th and 15th, 2024, at La Colline, Old Minister’s Hill. As a welcome gesture, NDA agreed to waive the registration fees for participants from Kros College.
