Mokokchung, 3 October (MTNews): The Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) extended its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, donors, and volunteers for the success of the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp held on October 2nd, 2023 at District Hospital Dimapur. The voluntary blood donation camp was organized by DAYO in collaboration with Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur which, according to an update received here, saw an overwhelming response from the members as well as residents of Dimapur. The event aimed to address the critical need for blood donations during these challenging times especially with the outbreak of dengue, when the availability of blood can be a matter of life and death.
“The voluntary blood donation camp witnessed an impressive turnout of donors, reflecting the community’s willingness to contribute to the welfare of others. The donated blood will go a long way in supporting local hospitals and clinics, providing vital support to patients in need. This event underlines the values of love, compassion, and unity that DAYO holds dear in service to humanity,” said DAYO.
DAYO also extended its gratitude to the healthcare professionals led by Dr Temsu Ao, Nodal Officer, Blood Bank, District Hospital Dimapur, volunteers, and partners who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. “Their dedication and support were instrumental in ensuring a smooth and efficient blood donation process. DAYO will continue in its various endeavors for community-driven activities and will continue to contribute for the well-being and prosperity of the citizens of Dimapur,” stated DAYO.
