Mokokchung, 1 February (MTNews): The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) extends its heartfelt congratulations to retired DGP Nagaland, John Longkumer IPS on his recent appointment as the State Election Commissioner.
“Longkumer having actively engaged with all sections of the society during the few years of home posting prior to his retirement is recognized and appreciated for his dedication, outreach efforts and pursuit for peace and harmony,” DAYO said in a press statement.
“We acknowledge the trust placed in him by the Nagaland State Government as he takes on this significant responsibility post-retirement,” DAYO said, while hoping that his “commitment to inclusivity and community engagement along with his extensive experiences as upholder of law and order will contribute to the efficient and fair conduct of urban local bodies elections in Nagaland and related responsibilities assigned by the Government of Nagaland.”
DAYO said it looks forward to witnessing his continued leadership in his new role ensuring “positive impact, transparency and democratic electoral processes for the benefit of the state.”
