Mokokchung, 13 March (MTNews): Deputy Commissioner Thsuvisie Phoji has announced the granting of a blasting permit. JKM Infra Works LLP, based in Guwahati, Assam, has been authorized to conduct stone blasting operations as part of the widening project for a two-lane road.
The construction site spans from DEF Police Church to Yisemyong at NH-61 (also known as New NH-02), specifically in the Angetyong Tzü River area. The blasting activity is scheduled to take place on 15 March 2024 between the hours of 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM.
However, the DC informed that the permit comes with stringent terms and conditions. Firstly, the contractor, JKM Infra Works LLP, is obligated to prioritize the safety and security of the public and their properties while using the road. Additionally, the company must strictly adhere to all relevant regulations outlined in the Explosives Act/Rule of 2008.
Furthermore, it mentioned that the JKM Infra Works LLP will bear full responsibility for any damage caused to life or property during the blasting process. It is crucial to note that this permit is only valid for the specified date of 15 March 2024.
