Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, held an emergency coordination meeting with the Police, enforcement agencies, and civil society organisations in view of the apprehension of a potential influx of illegal immigrants due to the eviction drive undertaken by the Government of Assam on 25th July 2025. The meeting was held in the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung.
The meeting was attended by the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung; the Commandant of the 2nd NAP, Alichen; the Assistant Director of SIB, Mokokchung; the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Mokokchung HQ; the President of Ao Senden; and the President of AKM.
