Following a reference order from the Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, dated 9 May 2024, Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji has imposed a temporary travel restriction on vehicular movement along NH 61, stretching from APMC Wokha to Doyang Bridge (Mokokchung Road).
The restriction will come into effect from 4:00 PM on 11 May 2024 and remain enforced until 7:00 AM on 13 May 2024. This measure aims to ensure the safety of commuters and address any potential risks posed by the current conditions of the road.
During this restricted period, all vehicles traveling from Mokokchung and heading towards the specified stretch are advised to take an alternative route. The diversion route starts from Alichen – Longkhum junction, leading through Mangmetong – Sungro – Doyang – Wokha.
