Mokokchung, 18 Sept: Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has issued a directive concerning the condition of NH 702D (Mokokchung to Mariani). Effective immediately, the order restricts the movement of overloaded trucks and dumpers carrying wet sand along this stretch of highway.
The restriction comes in response to the highway’s poor bearing capacity of the sub-grade, which is a significant concern until the highway is upgraded to a 2-Lane National Highway. This measure will remain in place until further notice.
