Mokokchung, August 31 (MTNews): Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS along with a team of officials on Wednesday inspected Dikhu Bailey Bridge which is situated at 12 Kms along NH 202 Mokokchung – Tuensang road.
The team included Commandant 23 Assam Rifles, Superintendent of Police Mokokchung, and from the Tuensang counterpart ADC Longkhim, Phulebhe K. Yepthomi and EE National Highways 202 Mokokchung – Tuensang, Er. L. Akum and Village Council Members from Longsa village, a DPRO Mokokchung report said.
After inspecting the bridge on the spot, the team decided that only Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) and passenger carrying vehicles will be allowed to pass through the bridge due to the weak condition of the bridge, and that all goods laden (loaded) vehicles will be diverted through Longmisa village, Mokokchung to Thronger village, Tuensang route until further arrangements are made.
