Mokokchung, 26 June (MTNews): Following the partial clearance of landslide debris on NH 702, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji, has issued a travel advisory today.
The advisory stated that Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) are now permitted to pass through the Changtongya to Longleng road from 6 AM to 6 PM, effective immediately. The drivers of such vehicles have been advised to exercise utmost caution while passing through the affected area and avoid taking this route at the time of bad weather/foggy conditions/heavy rainfall. They were also advised not to halt/stop/park their vehicles in and around the landslide-affected area in order not to risk their and their co-passengers’ lives.
