The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phoji has issued a travel advisory concerning the ongoing widening project of the Mokokchung to Chare road via Dikhu, citing significant landslides and rockfalls that threaten commuter and worker safety. Effective immediately, vehicular movement along this section of the highway is suspended until the end of the monsoon season or until further notice.
In light of this advisory, travellers between Mokokchung and Chare are advised to use the alternative route via Sewak Gate, Moalenden, Meyilong, and Chare.
