Mokokchung, 28 June (MTNews): Due to extensive landslides that occurred on 26 and 27 June along NH 702, specifically between Changtongya and Longleng spanning from KM 0.0 to KM 16.592, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji has imposed total restriction of movement of all kinds of vehicles along the route. The DC said clearance of the debris is estimated to require approximately 4 to 5 days, which has already started from 27 June.
In light of this situation, the DC has recommended that travelers avoid using the aforementioned route. Travellers have been advised to take the alternate route of Longleng-Chingtok(IR Camp)- Netnyu-Merangkong.
