The Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire began by appreciating departments that have shown significant progress and encouraged those that are still lagging behind. He acknowledged that being selected as an aspirational district is not easy. “We were chosen because there are areas where we are still lacking, although we have made improvements in some sectors,” he said.
He emphasized that transformation takes time and effort. “What we see today is not the result of a sudden change but a gradual shift over the years. We still have a long journey ahead, but we have already come a long way.”
The DC expressed gratitude to both the Central and State governments for their continued support and commended the dedication of officers, especially those working on the ground. “Despite all our challenges, our teams have given their best. Today is a day to celebrate their commitment.”
He elaborated on the Sampurna Abhiyan, a government campaign aimed at ensuring every citizen receives the benefits they are entitled to. “This is not just a ceremonial event but a moment for us to reflect on how far Kiphire has come and how far we still need to go.”
The DC explained that Sampurna stands for completeness, reaching every individual in every corner, regardless of how remote. “This mission is a call to ensure that no one is left behind—not a child, not a farmer, not a mother, and not an elder.”
He applauded the contributions of officers, teachers, ASHAs, BPMs, and field workers, calling them the true changemakers who are building lives and connecting the government to the people.
Looking ahead, the DC encouraged the district to move from being aspirational to becoming inspirational. He also announced the upcoming Akanksha Hut at the Kiphire Town Council Market, calling it a platform for the community’s dreams and aspirations.
