In light of recent damage to National Highway NH 202 caused by the washing away of a culvert at Km 58.00 between Longkhim and Mangaki, the Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, informed that the road will be closed for restoration until further notice.
Travelers have been advised to follow alternative routes. Travelers from Tuensang to Kohima are advised to take the Tuensang-Yangli-Zunheboto-Kohima route, while travelerss to Mokokchung are advised to use either the Tuensang-Yangli-Suruhoto-Longsa route or the Tuensang-Longleng-Changtongya-Mokokchung route, and vice versa.
Additionally, it was informed that the movement of heavy vehicles shall remain restricted along the Tuensang-Longleng road.
