Kohima, 3 April (MTNews): Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre Kohima, Nagaland held its 36th Convocation at Ura Academy Hall, Kohima on 3 April 2023.
Speaking as the Guest of Honor, Vice Chancellor, Tripura University, Agartala, Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain congratulated the students on receiving Degrees/ Diplomas and Certificates in different disciplines.
Prof Prasain said that through IGNOU, thousands have been benefited since its inception and said the students who are about to receive the degrees at the 36th convocation are ‘very lucky’ to get the opportunity to study and receive degrees from IGNOU.
He also mentioned how some students passed from IGNOU and are now IAS officers and challenged the students to give their best and strive towards excellence and success.
Prasain also informed that Degrees/ Diplomas or Certificates received from IGNOU are equivalent to the Degrees/ Diplomas or Certificates received from any conventional or traditional institutions/universities and are recognized everywhere in the country and abroad.
Prasain also highlighted National Education Policy (NEP) and its avenues/ courses for the students to get higher education online in various disciplines where an individual can undertake two degrees simultaneously and more opportunities to venture out.
