In response to a growing trend of job-related fraud targeting youth from Eastern Nagaland, the Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) has formed a Job Help Line Committee as a preventive measure. The initiative comes amid rising concerns over young job seekers from the region arriving in Delhi and falling victim to fraudulent employment offers and recruitment scams.

DENSU acknowledged the courage and aspirations of the youth who venture beyond their home state in search of better livelihood opportunities. However, the union expressed concern over a recurring pattern in which individuals are misled by fake job agents and end up facing emotional, financial, and legal difficulties. These incidents have placed a considerable burden on DENSU, which often has to step in for follow-up actions, interventions, and damage control.

To address the issue, the newly formed Job Help Line Committee will serve as a cautionary support mechanism. Its primary function is to verify the authenticity of job offers and recruitment agencies before individuals engage with them. The union strongly urges all individuals from Eastern Nagaland planning to come to Delhi for employment to first contact the DENSU Job Help Line for verification and assistance.

While providing this service, DENSU clarified that the Job Help Line is not an employment agency and does not offer or guarantee any form of job placement. It is strictly a support and verification resource aimed at preventing members of the community from falling prey to job scams.

For verification or inquiries, individuals are encouraged to contact the committee members directly. DENSU Job Help Line Committee contact details:
