In a significant move to support the career aspirations of youth from Eastern Nagaland, the Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) has announced a partnership with Karma Staff India LLP, a reputed staffing and outsourcing firm. The collaboration falls under the framework of the DENSU Job Helpline Committee Initiative.
DENSU stated in a press release that this partnership aims to assist graduates from the Eastern Nagaland region by connecting them with verified employment opportunities through professional recruitment channels.
As part of the initial rollout, graduates (UG/PG) with at least two years of work experience will be eligible for job placements offering starting salaries between Rs40,000 and Rs45,000 per month. Meanwhile, fresh graduates can apply for entry-level roles, with salaries ranging from Rs20,000 to Rs25,000 per month, subject to role and eligibility.
To help applicants better understand the available opportunities and application process, DENSU and Karma Staff India LLP will host an online Q&A session on June 6, 2025, at 6:30 PM. Further details regarding available positions and the application process will be circulated shortly, DENSU informed.
DENSU said that the initiative marks a hopeful beginning for many young people who are seeking dignified employment and growth opportunities.
“While still in its early stages, the initiative reflects a shared commitment to empower our youth through access to structured job avenues. It is a step forward notjust in finding jobs, but in fostering confidence that the aspirations of our community are being heard and actively supported,” DENSU said.
Formation of DENSU Job Help Line: A cautionary support mechanism against job scams
The Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) stated that an increasing number of youths from Eastern Nagaland have been arriving in Delhi in search of employment opportunities.
“While we acknowledge and support the courage and ambition of our young people seeking livelihood beyond their home state, it is with concern that we note a recurring pattern where many of them fall prey to fraudulent job offers and recruitment scams,” DENSU noted.
These scams have left victims emotionally distressed and financially strained, while placing a heavy burden on the union to intervene and manage the aftermath.
To address this, DENSU has formally constituted a Job Help Line Committee tasked with verifying the authenticity of job offers and recruitment agencies.
“The primary role of this committee is to verify the source and authenticity of job offers or employment agencies before any engagement is made,” DENSU maintained.
DENSU said it strongly urges individuals planning to move to Delhi for employment to first reach out to the Job Help Line for verification before engaging with any agency or offer. “This step can help prevent unnecessary suffering and reduce the risk of falling victim to fraudulent schemes,” it said.
Importantly, DENSU has clarified that it does not offer or guarantee employment of any kind. “The Job Help Line functions purely as a support and verification resource to help individuals determine the legitimacy of job offers,” DENSU stated.
