Kohima, November 29 (MTNews): The Department of Women Resource Development will celebrate MykiFest 2022 at Sakhrie Park, AG Colony on the 6th and 7th of December 2022 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM as part of the Hornbill Festival 2022, according to a DIPR report.

 

MykiFest, launched during 2017-18, is the Department’s premier event to recognize women as equal partners in society’s socioeconomic development, as well as to celebrate the activities and accomplishments of women entrepreneurs, artisans, artists, cultivators, and various women organizations.

 

According to the report, this year’s MykiFest celebration will include a showcase and sale of Myki and other women entrepreneurs’ products, a live demo on food preparation of selected foods, and a live performance by the BRAHMOS Band.

 

The main event of the program will feature the MykiFest Open Solo Singing Competition (English) for females of 18 years and above. It was informed that the audition for the Mykifest Solo Competition will be held on December 6, 2022 from 11:00 AM onwards, while the finals will be held on December 7 from 3:30 PM onwards.

 

Participants who are willing to compete have been asked to submit applications addressed to the Deputy Director, via email at mykinagaland@gmail.com, or via Whatsapp at 879870094 by 8:00 p.m. on December 4, 2022.
