The third interface meeting between the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), the Mokokchung Aor Officers’ Telungjem (MAOT), and Ao Senden was held at Impur on October 16, 2025.
According to Rev. Temsü Jamir, Executive Secretary, ABAM, the meeting was “exceptionally productive, laying the groundwork for transformative initiatives that have the potential to enhance our community’s future.”
During the meeting, participants deliberated on key proposals that will be placed before the upcoming ABAM Executive meeting.
Among the major initiatives is a “comprehensive survey on depopulation in the district.” The survey will use a targeted questionnaire to identify the underlying causes of depopulation and propose effective countermeasures.
Another major agenda discussed was the revival of the Impur Christian Hospital. The meeting noted that the initiative would not only require a change of ownership but also a strategic mobilization of resources to ensure that quality healthcare is once again accessible to people.
The meeting also proposed transforming the existing museum at Impur into a vibrant educational space to inspire and empower future generations. “This transformation will involve certain procedures to ensure that the museum can fulfill its mission as a center of learning and cultural enrichment,” the Executive Secretary said of the museum.
“Together, these initiatives represent a significant step forward in fostering sustainable development that truly benefits our community,” he added.
“We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the positive impact of our collective efforts. We pray to our almighty God to provide every single need to fulfill our dreams,” he said.
