Kohima, 7 August (MTNews): Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton today virtually inaugurated the new offices of the Commandant, 3rd NAP Battalion Tuensang and the Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto.

In his speech, Deputy Chief Minister Patton said the successive state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio had been encouraging by way of witnessing all such infrastructural development to bring quality service to the people of Nagaland.

 

He congratulated the police department and all those involved for ensuring timely completion of the new office buildings. Patton said, it is a proud moment for the people of Tuensang and Zunheboto in general and for all ranks and files of the 3rd NAP and SP Zunheboto for getting the opportunity to have availed a new office building.

 

He expressed confidence that with the inauguration of the new office buildings, the ranks and files would continue to provide public service to the people with renewed vigour and called upon the staff to re-dedicate in dispensing their responsibilities in the service of the people.

 

Patton further appealed to all the civil society organizations to continue to extend their support and co-operation in maintaining peace and harmony in the districts.

 

The work order for construction of the new office of Commandant, 3rd NAP Battalion Tuensang was carried out at Rs 2.22 crore while the new office of Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto was carried out with Rs 1.84.
