The Department of Economics, Dimapur Government College (DGC), organised an extension activity titled “Faculty Book Donation Programme” at the college library on April 30. Faculty members donated around 60 books to the library.
A brief programme was held at the DGC Central Library in the presence of students, teachers and college authorities. Imtikokla Ozukum, Associate Professor, chaired the programme, while Anungla Aier, Head of the Department, delivered the welcome address.
Librarian Neiketu Siam thanked the department for the contribution, stating that books are a gateway to knowledge and can positively influence students and society.
Vice Principal Dr Meripeni Ngully congratulated the department and said the donated books would benefit the institution and the wider community.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Pudezono RoseTase.
