Kohima, 22 August (MTNews): In a first of its kind innovation for Police Modernization in Nagaland, Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma today launched Smart Police Zunheboto application.
It provides nine modules which include village guard system, resource management, disaster response, command & control center, missing child tracker, foster care tracker, job verification, staff management, and fake news mitigation.
Speaking at the launching program at PHQ Kohima, Sharma appreciated the initiative of SP Zunheboto and added that the system will help the department to operate in a smarter way to protect and serve.
He said, with time more modules should be incorporated into the application to enable better efficiency, citizen centric and user friendly.
The DGP noted that the policing system in the state is slowly catching up, however more needs to be done in the police verification process for all purposes.
Superintendent of Police Zunheboto, Vishal said, the application is not just a technological marvel but a symbol of its commitment to enhance law enforcement and public safety. He said the application can be accessed through the website zunhebotopolice.in and also IOS and Android platforms.
