The 5th All Nagaland Dr. Imkongliba Ao Memorial Volleyball Trophy 2025 began today at DDSC Stadium in Dimapur, organised by the Japukong Youth Organisation (JYO).
The three-day event features nine teams competing for the trophy, including MH-10, Street Boys Club Pangti, Blind Spikers Akuluto VK, Vision Club Niuland, Changtongya Volleyball Association, Chienino Brothers Kiruphema, United Changki, Southern Angami Sports Association, and Shikaho Memorial Club Akuluto.
In the opening match, MH-10 defeated Street Boys Club, Pangti, with scores of 25-7 and 25-7. Earlier, speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dimapur Municipal Council Chairman Hukheto Yepthomi highlighted that events like this strengthen community bonds and serve as a source of hope during challenging times, while promoting peace, unity, and progress.
