In an uplifting story that has struck a chord with many, three young boys in Dimapur returned two high-end smartphones lost by Squadron bassist Lanu Aier.
Squadron, formed in 1990, is Nagaland’s longest-surviving music band and enjoys a legendary status in the state’s music scene. Earlier today, the band shared on its official Facebook page that their bassist had absentmindedly left his Samsung S24 Ultra and Samsung Z Fold on the roof of his car and drove off. He only realized the phones were missing after reaching Referral Hospital.
“As someone who always leaves their phone unlocked, I was sure it was gone for good,” Lanu recounted.
But instead of falling into the wrong hands, the phones were found by three boys who took the initiative to call the last number on the device, a call that reached Lanu’s elder sister. The phones were then safely returned.
“I truly can’t keep quiet about this. I want everyone to know what these three boys did,” Lanu wrote. “They were raised right, and I’m beyond proud of them. Forever grateful for their kindness.”
The post has since received widespread appreciation, with fans and well-wishers praising the boys’ integrity and hailing them as role models for the youth.
