Dimapur, 9 September (MTNews): Dimapur Government College celebrated its 56th Annual Freshers’ Meet on 8 September, 2023 in the college auditorium under the theme, “Persistence over Perfection.” The special guest for the event was Yanpvuo Kikon, Founder of East West Logistics, Kikonic Tech, Kley Enterprise and Kohima Lead Generation Centre. He motivated the gathering of students, faculty and invitees by sharing his life experiences and stated that one should strive for improvement rather than perfection and cited the examples of global companies that have survived because they were always trying to improve.
The highlight of the program was the selection of Mr & Miss Fresher who had to go through four rounds before the final crowning. The judges were Logan Jeke Tamin (freelance model, fashion choreographer, Show Director of Miss Si Donyi organization and winner of 4 beauty pageants), Linovi P Kiba (Reigning Miss Sumi, 1st runners up 2022 and Queen of Hearts, Miss Nagaland 2022) and KL Pamei (musical artist and songwriter).
The title winners of the 56th Freshers’ Meet 2023 are: Anando Nayak – Mr Fresher; Phangmei M Konyak – Miss Fresher & Miss Talent; Hannyentoba Chang – Mr Talent & Mr Perfect; and Denja P Hoichem – Miss Perfect.
The Freshers’ Meet included a myriad of songs, performances and speeches by students of Dimapur Government College. The principal Prof. Sanjay Sharma also delivered the welcome address.
