The Science Club of Dimapur Government College organised a science exhibition on the theme “Fascinating Facets of Science” at the college on October 8, with participation from students and visitors from neighbouring schools.
Principal Dr T. Tiakaba Jamir, who attended the event as Special Guest, highlighted the importance of science beyond textbooks and encouraged students to remain curious about its applications in everyday life. He appreciated the students for presenting scientific models and the faculty for organising the exhibition, stating that it would broaden scientific knowledge, promote scientific temperament and encourage innovation.
Teachers and students from GHSS Lengrijan, GHS Sarbura, Beanstalk School and Stepping School visited the exhibition.
The event featured a scientific model display and competition, with college faculty serving as judges. Prizes and certificates were distributed to winners and participants by Dr H. Atoholi Sema, Convenor of the Science Club and Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Temjennaro Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics.
