Kohima, 14 November (MTNews): The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) and Kohima Press Club mourned the passing of Mrs Aneile Kenye, the beloved wife of senior journalist and member of the Kohima Press Club (KPC) Advisory Board, Oken Jeet Sandham. Mrs Aneile breathed her last on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

She was diagnosed with a brain tumor (meningioma) in June 2009, and after an 11-hour surgery, she slipped into a coma in late August 2009. Bedridden for 14 years, she spent 11 years in the Intensive Care Unit at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and the remaining years at home until her passing.

“She was a great fighter, and we deeply admire the dedication with which her family took care of her all these years. As the members of the bereaved family face the loss and grief, we stand with them in solidarity. It is our sincere prayer that they will find comfort in her memories. May her soul rest in peace!” stated the Kohima Press Club.

The DPC extends heartfelt condolences to Sandham and his family, stating, “Her memory will live on through those whose lives she touched. May her soul rest in peace.”
