Dimapur, 13 October (MTNews): MLA & Advisor, Tribal Affairs and Election Department, H Tovihoto Ayemi, flagged off the 3-day 9th Horsepower Autocross Challenge today. The event was organized by the Nagaland Adventure Club in association with Nexa Jimny and took place at the Agri expo site in 4th Mile, Diphupar on Friday morning.
During his brief speech as the special guest at the flagging-off ceremony, Tovihoto expressed his satisfaction with the growing popularity of motorsports worldwide. He said that he found it “particularly encouraging” to witness the momentum that motorsports are gaining in Nagaland.
Tovihoto applauded the Nagaland Adventure Club for its dedicated efforts in developing motorsports in the state and attracting numerous enthusiasts to the sport through various organized events. He encouraged the participants, who had come from different parts of the North Eastern region, to demonstrate sincerity, discipline, and dedication in their pursuit of success. He also highlighted the role of sports in fostering friendships and unity among people.
He concluded his speech by expressing his best wishes for the successful conclusion of the event.
After flagging off the race, special guest Tovihoto showcased his driving skills on the racetrack, achieving a relatively good time, which undoubtedly served as an inspiration to many motorsport enthusiasts.
