Dimapur, July 26 (MTNews): Raising concern on the issue of rampant and illegal encroachment of railway land in Dimapur, the Railway Contractors Union Nagaland (RCUN) has said that the Nagaland state government and the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) are equally to blame for it.
Saying that RCUN has been pursuing this matter with the appropriate authorities since many years, it lamented that the “authorities never handled the matter in a judicious and fast track manner.”
RCUN have also asked the state government to set up a SIT to conduct an investigation in the railway land encroachment issue and penalize those involved as per the provisions of law.
