Mokokchung, June 18 (MTNews): In a one-sided game that can be termed as an anticlimax to a tournament, Dimapur thrashed Wokha by 7 wickets to win the final match of the Nagaland Cricket Association Men’s Senior Inter District Tournament 2022 in just 10 overs. Wokha emerged as the table top winners of Pool B, ahead of Mokokchung by 1 point, to directly qualify for the final after a rain marred round robin where a number of matches were abandoned.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Wokha were restricted to 49 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 14 overs. In reply, Dimapur chased down the target in 10 overs after losing 3 wickets in the process. Arjun Kumar Yadav of Dimapur was adjudged Player of the Match of the final played at Sovima Cricket Ground on Saturday.
