Mokokchung, 3 December (MTNews): Former president of the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and editor of vernacular newspaper Tir Yimyim, K Temjen Jamir met the US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti in Kohima on Saturday. During their meeting, it was learned that “discussion was made on the necessity to reconnect US-Naga relationship through economic and educational programs as it was the Americans who educated us.”
Jamir is also learned to have proposed to the Ambassador to invite the Nagaland media to the States to “interact with US media friends and learn from them.” Jamir said that the Ambassador accepted his proposal. Jamir also handed a copy of the Vision Mokokchung 2040 document.
