Mokokchung, November 22 (MTNews): The District Pensioners’ Association (DPA) Mokokchung today informed that it has reliably learnt that the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) card would be issued “only after one year or more” to the pensioners/govt. employees etc. whereas, it said, the medical card holder is entitled for treatment in the empanelled hospital by submitting the aforesaid card to the hospital where admitted for treatment.
“On the other hand, medical insurance money of 50% of the medical allowance (Rs. 400/-) is to be deducted with effect from November 2022 from each incumbent. Now, the subscriber right is created w.e.f. November 2022 as per existing provision,” it said.
Accordingly the DPA stated that in case of an incumbent CMHIS card holder is treated or expires within the period before the issuance of the CMHIS card, such patient should be paid arrear after receiving the said card.
Otherwise, it said, non-payment of that period of one year or more if treated in the empanelled hospital starting from November 2022 “shall be a breach of fundamental right,” DPA Mokokchung said.
