The Hindu community in Mokokchung, who are mostly traders, were seen lighting the Diwali ‘diya’ lamps on Sunday evening at their residences and business establishments. As appealed by the Mokokchung Municipal Council to the Hindu community to celebrate the festival under the theme ‘Swachh Diwali Shubh Diwali’, bursting of firecrackers remained noticeably minimal this year.
